I support women who desire to approach birth from a place of trust. Women who are questioning, women who feel something inside them whispering: there must be another way.
Women who desire to birth at home undisturbed, sovereign, free from coercion and external control. Women who wish to sit in the knowing that they deserve to choose how to birth their babies.
I believe birth is not something that needs to be managed, feared, or handed over, but
something that can be understood, prepared for, and deeply trusted.
The way we are born matters. Birth matters as the beginning of every human experience, and as the way a woman crosses the threshold into motherhood.
How she’s held - or not held - during that passage can ripple into motherhood, family, life, and relationships.
I believe babies deserve to be welcomed with reverence, peace, and love, because it shapes not only our families but the generations to come.
I always said I would birth my babies like our grandmothers did -with zero drugs.
In 2018 when I got pregnant with my first baby, I planned a home birth.
Hospital was never part of my birth plan, it was the emergency last resort option.
I thought I had prepared. I had hired a doula and a midwife, took all the courses and looked into most of the drugs and interventions. I would need to refuse if we ended up in a hospital.
But as labor started at home, meconium appeared in the waters. I was told I needed to
transfer… and I agreed.
I came home the same day with a ‘healthy baby’, but I felt dissociated, in shock, physically injured from the coached pushing. I wasn't ‘okay’, like I was told I was.
I was suffering physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
I was feeling lost and completely overwhelmed. At the time, I didn't have the language for what happened during birth, and the ripples they had on me and my family.
I felt alone, angry, confused, disconnected.
I searched for someone who would help me make sense of what I had experienced, someone who could hold it with me and help me integrate it, but I couldn't find her.
Women around me seemed at peace with their birth, while I carried something I could not explain, and that rage…!
This experience changed me, and eventually led into deeper questions about birth, trust, authority, fear, and the way women are supported - or not - in birth.
In 2021, I became pregnant with my second baby, my first daughter. I knew I could not repeat the
same story. I committed to completing my healing emotionally, mentally, physically, spiritually. I chose support intentionally. I hired another doula and went with a midwife again, because I thought that was the way to do it.
That birth changed everything.
It felt redemptive, sacred, a return to myself.
For the first time, I experienced birth, not as something to control, but something to surrender to.
I touched something deeply divine when my daughter emerged, an energy that pushed my baby out from my crown to my womb.
I understood in my body that birth is not about force or performance, but about trust; trust in self, trust in the divine.
Not long after, I discovered the concept of freebirth, and something inside me immediately recognised it.
I remember thinking: I wish I had known this was an option.
The birth of my first daughter gave me the deep knowing that I did not need anyone to birth my babies.
I don't believe support is wrong. I believe it needs to be chosen carefully, and that the narrative us women have been given should be questioned.
After experiencing two pregnancy losses, I became pregnant again in 2024 with our youngest daughter. This time I was very clear.
We were then traveling full time, and I knew she would be born free. Not from rebellion, not because I wanted to be part of a club, but from deep trust in birth and its design.
What began as an awareness that I could birth by myself became embodied knowing, and then became reality.
I freebirthed my baby at 42 years old in the jungle of Costa Rica.
Then came the opportunity to learn how to support women in pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, as well as helping them make sense of and integrate their birth experiences.
I have now become the woman I once needed. The woman I was searching for when I was trying to make sense of my first birth, the woman I would have loved telling me that freebirth is an option.
If something in you is questioning,
if you are carrying a birth experience, you have never fully made sense of or fully told,
if you are looking for another way of experiencing
pregnancy, birth, and postpartum…
I offer support in integrating past birth experiences as well as help and guidance in freebirth preparation.
